# Lilypad Community Rewards!

Announcing Community Rewards!

As a part of the Lilypad [IncentiveNet](https://lilypadnetwork.notion.site/Leap-into-Lilypad-s-IncentiveNet-9e9b12936d4340ad9417d92dab8bd9d1), we have launched an [open source initiative](https://blog.lilypadnetwork.org/lilypad-launches-open-source-initiative-as-part-of-incentivenet), an [Ambassadors](https://lilypadnetwork.notion.site/Lilypad-Ambassadors-f11f73e91f684fa192fc2fab7985fe0d) program, and will soon announce guidelines around an educational/content rewards program.

We’re excited to begin recognizing the amazing efforts of our contributors and Ambassadors with [Lilybits rewards](https://blog.lilypadnetwork.org/incentivenet-lilybit-reward-calculations). Upon Lilypad Mainnet launch, Lilybits will be redeemable for the Lilypad ERC-20 mainnet tokens!

Today, open source contributors to the Lilypad Network have been given Lilybit\_ rewards! Check out the [open source dashboard](https://oss.lilypad.tech) to find rewards for open source contributors.

Early contributors were provided Lilybit\_ rewards based on the number of contributions and difficulty of contributions plus a bonus (for contributing to the project early)! For reference, a GTX 4090 GPU earns an average of ~5,000 Lilybits per day when online on the Lilypad [IncentiveNet](https://info.lilypad.tech/) ([decreasing every 2 weeks](https://blog.lilypadnetwork.org/incentivenet-lilybit-reward-calculations) by 10%). Our team is using this as a baseline for equating a day of useful work on the network to an amount of Lilybits.

In the next week, Lilypad Ambassadors will also receive rewards. The amount of Lilybits provided to these contributors will vary based on scale of contributions and long term commitment.

At the end of each month, the Lilypad team will go through all merged/finished open source contributions as well as contributions from Ambassadors and allocate Lilybits to each contributor based on these factors:

* The number of contribution(s)

* Difficulty of contribution(s) (mostly when evaluating open source contributions)

    * **Easy Issues & PRs:** Contribute to issues or pull requests labeled as *easy* and earn Lilybits!

    * **Medium Issues & PRs:** Tackle *medium* level challenges and earn Lilybits!

    * **Hard Issues & PRs:** Solve *hard* level problems and be rewarded with Lilybits!

* Impact of contribution(s)

Whether you're a developer contributing to our open source projects or an advocate helping to spread the word about Lilypad, there are now more pathways for earning rewards based on your involvement and impact.

### **Why a Community Rewards Program?**

The collective contributions of our ecosystem are helping to accelerate a positive future for decentralized AI! This program is our way of saying thank you, giving rewards to early contributors and encouraging on-going engagement within the Lilypad Network.

We want to hear from you! Provide any feedback or ideas on the community rewards in this [Github discussion](https://github.com/orgs/Lilypad-Tech/discussions/22).

### **1\. Open Source Contributions**

We are committed to open source principles and invite developers of all levels to contribute to our projects. Your feedback and code not only improves the Lilypad Network but also helps create a more inclusive and innovative tech ecosystem.

Rewards are available to any open issue or PR that has the `community` tag attached to it. This is decided by the Lilypad team and these `community` tagged tasks will have a rough estimate of time and effort needed to complete. Our team will also allow community proposed issues to earn rewards given enough impact (fixing a typo in the docs doesn’t count but is appreciated!!)

**Getting Started:**

* Visit our [GitHub](https://github.com/Lilypad-Tech/lilypad) repositories and look for issues with the `community`.

* Follow our contribution guidelines in the attached **CONTRIBUTING.md** file.

* Submit your pull requests. Make sure they adhere to our commit conventions.

* Submit issues to propose solutions that will enhance the Lilypad ecosystem. `community` tags can be retroactively attached to these issues if deemed valuable to the network.

### **2\. Lilypad Ambassadors**

Become a Lilypad Advocate in the Ambassador program and help us spread the word! Whether you're helping the community solve problems, hosting events, creating tooling, or engaging on social media, your efforts are invaluable.

**How It Works:**

The more active and impactful, the more likely you become an Ambassador. Keep up the great work, our team notices!

* **Community Help:** Assist community members by answering questions, helping with issues and configurations, and bring an all round positive outlook towards Lilypad.

* **Community Events:** Organize meetups, webinars, or other community-driven activities to expand Lilypad's reach.

* **Social Engagement:** Actively share, promote, and engage with Lilypad content on social media platforms.

**Getting Started:**
